Damian Ryan
Damian has over 15 years experience of managing, designing and delivering management development
and executive education programmes both in the corporate and university sectors. He has
considerable programme director and project management experience, having designed and delivered
executive MBA programmes as well as numerous short courses in business & strategy.
Prior to his career in leadership/management development Damian held executive positions in
marketing and planning in the packaging industry with Carnaud Metal Box and also in the food
industry.
For 10 years he was a senior lecturer in strategic management & decision making, working at
Sheffield University Management School, Sheffield Business School and Derbyshire Business School.
He has presented papers on strategy & strategic leadership at management conferences in both the
UK & USA.
Ken Delany-Moore
Ken is a noted practitioner in accountancy training and education, with over 20 years experience.
He learnt his 'trade' in further education colleges before progressing, first to Sheffield Hallam University
and later to Sheffield University Management School, teaching on CIMA and other professional courses.
He has worked for a variety of corporate clients, especially in the healthcare & pharmaceutical industries,
such as Novartis, Hospital Trusts and biomedical start-ups on financial & management accounting topics.
He has developed distance learning and web-based instructional materials on topics such as performance management
for the Institute of Public Rights of Way Officers.
Ken's special interest is in the use of different learning & development methods to increase flexibility of
learning and the promotion of deep learning. His work includes the use of distance & web-based learning,
learning journals and problem/learner based learning methods. He has a Masters degree in Education.
Joan Sidorowicz
Joan has been a highly regarded senior manager at Sheffield Hallam University holding positions
at both faculty and central registry levels.
She was head of Examination & Awards, managing a department responsible for over 30,000
university and affiliated students. Her department organised and conducted conferment
ceremonies and all aspects of the examinations and awards process including working with
external service providers.
She brings this wealth of management experience to the operation of Azilian's client support
and management services activities.
